With the world the way it is and how it came to be since God wrote His Ten Commandments over 3,000 years ago. The world itself has turned into a regular Sodom and Gomorrah but in different forms as things came into temptation and out of control. If God wanted to he could lay waste to the entire atmosphere but can't too many people would suffer which is why he will send Jesus Christ to the earth for the second time.
